Symposium

Join Us for Society + Technology at UW’s Fall 2026 Symposium

Date: Friday, October 2, 2026
Time: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Location: Burke Museum, Cascade Room, 4303 Memorial Way NE, Seattle, WA, 98195

We believe research and teaching have the most impact when our work fosters greater understanding and empathy. Society + Technology at UW’s symposium is designed with this mission in mind.

Our free, public event will elevate the work of S+T at UW affiliates, exploring themes around technology and society such as governance, trust, care, stewardship, and more.

The symposium will feature remarks by the UW Office of Research Associate Vice Provost for Data Science Andrew Connelly (Astronomy, UW Seattle), refreshments, panels, and conversations with Society + Technology at UW affiliates; we’ll end with stargazing (weather permitting).

Space is limited! Register today for updates on speakers and the full symposium program.
